Volunteer
Volunteers make a difference. Through the dedication and commitment of our volunteers, the Delta Museum and Archives is able to offer many programs that otherwise would not be possible. Are you interested in local First Nations culture, local history or multiculturalism? Do you enjoy meeting others with similar interests? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then consider joining our team at the Delta Museum and Archives and help make history come alive!
No experience is required as the Museum will provide you with all the training you need. Please complete a Volunteer Form, submit one copy electronically to programs@deltamuseum.ca and then print off a second copy for your interview. To submit an electronic form, please save your form to your desktop and then attach the form in an email.
Please volunteer to assist in the area(s) that suits your interests and schedule. Below are just some areas that may be of interest.

Presenting School Programs
Have you ever considered sharing your love of history with the Museum's youngest visitors? If you enjoy working with children then become a docent -- a volunteer who presents educational programs to the classes that attend programs at the museum. In order to be able to provide enough programs to meet the demand from the Delta schools, there is an urgent need for school program volunteers.
If you are interested in the school program and can volunteer two hours per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, during the school year, please indicate on your application that you would like to become a docent. This rewarding volunteer experience requires no special knowledge and the museum provides you with all the training you will need at training sessions held in the Spring and Fall.
